BIRMINGHAM & Solihull RFC will revert to their old name after the club revealed the Pertemps Group will no longer be their sponsors.
For five years the Sharmans Cross Road outfit have played as Pertemps Bees but following relegation last season from National One and the decision to go fully professional, the two sides have parted company.
Tim Watts, chairman of the Pertemps Group said: "We offered Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club a deal to continue the sponsorship for the up and coming season to maintain the naming rights of the club as Pertemps Bees.
"Unfortunately, the club did not wish to continue with this arrangement, and they have chosen to pursue other sponsorship opportunities."
Bees' spokeswoman Jo Kilby said the support from Tim Watts and Pertemps had been a crucial part of the Bees progress but all sports sponsor-ships come to a natural end and it's 'time to move on'.
"We don't anticipate it to affect us financially as we are currently negotiating a number of other deals.
"Playing under the name Birmingham & Solihull Bees will increase our recognition as well as our profile and the profile of our home town and city."
"We've set our sights on promotion and we're restructuring, and building foundations which we hope will propel us into the top flight of English club rugby."
The club now have a fully professional squad in place for the first time ever and they are currently running a number of community projects.
It was a disappointing season last year for the Bees as they suffered relegation to National Two.
However they enjoyed some successes with the Pertemps Group on board - not least when they beat London Wasps in the Powergen Cup quarter final with the BBC screening the semi-final live against Newcastle Falcons. ..SUPL:
