MULTIPLE record breaker Paddy Doyle will be going for his 135th record next week as he competes for the title of World's Fittest Athlete.
The Solihull College tutor and World's Fittest Man, will be counting on the support of his students on February 27 as he works his way through ten endurance feats.
The challenge will take place at the Living Well Health Club, Brindley Place, Birmingham. To take the title off the current record holder, American Rob Powell USA, he must complete the following exercises in less than 18 hours, 15 minutes and two seconds:
A two-mile swim, 10 mile run, 10 mile speed march, 500 star jumps, 500 hanging leg lifts, 20 mile row, 20 miles on the cross trainer, a100 mile cycle, 3,000 sit-up crunches and 300,000 lb weightlifting.
Paddy Doyle, public services tutor at Solihull College, said: "This will definitely be one of my toughest challenges to date, but I know that the support of my students will help to get me through it. I'd also like to encourage members of the public to come along to the gym on the night of my challenge and help spur me on."
Members of the public are encouraged to join Paddy at the Living Well Health Club between 5-8pm on February 27 to cheer him on through the final lap of this challenge. Tickets for the event can be ordered by calling 0777 198 5916.
