PLANS by housing developers to build on gardens in a leafy Olton road will be "fought all the way" by residents.
This pledge came from Noreen Sullivan, who is leading a campaign to have schemes for 13 new homes in Ulverley Green Road thrown out.
"Local people are incensed about these garden grabbing schemes as they will ruin the character of the neighbourhood if allowed to go ahead," she said.
The plans have been put forward by two developers, Grevayne Properties and Piper Homes, who had a previous planning application refused by the planning sub-committee in January.
Mrs Sullivan, a retired teacher who has lived in Ulverley Green Road for 29 years, said if the houses were built a new cul-de-sac would be created, with some of her new neighbours able to see straight into her dining room.
