Enjoy a luxury break in Somerset with a reduction off the usual price.

By CityLiving

The Grade 2-listed country house of Cricket St. Thomas, immortalised in TV's To The Manor Born, is a gem set in rolling countryside, near Chard, Somerset, with secluded landscaped gardens and its own 46-acre wildlife park.

Cricket St.Thomas

Now with our special offer from Warner Holidays you can enjoy a relaxing break there in March, April or May 2004 and save up to £25 per person off the already great value brochure prices.

Cricket St. Thomas is one of Warner's six Historic Hotels in the UK, which provide superb holidays "just for adults" in outstanding locations, with excellent sports and health facilities, indoor pools, a full English Buffet breakfast and three-course dinner, and excellent live entertainment every night.

With our special offer you will save £20 per person off three-night weekend breaks at Cricket St. Thomas, with brochure prices from £195, and £25 off four-night half-board midweek breaks, with brochure prices from £200.

The manor house, once home to Lord Horatio Nelson's niece, is a splendid example of 18th century architecture and enjoys delightful views over the Grade 2-listed gardens and surrounding wildlife park to which Warner guests enjoy reduced price admission.

Many of the park's varied collection of animals are endangered species, such as Siberian Amur Leopards, spider monkeys and lemurs, and Cricket St Thomas is part of an important ongoing captive breeding programme to help ensure their survival in a natural setting.

The hotel accommodation, with spacious en-suite bedrooms, follows the contours of the valley and is situated in either Cricket House, the Courtyard or Walled Garden, which is adjacent to historic St. Thomas' Church, with its memorials to Nelson's family.

Sports enthusiasts can choose from a range of activities, including bowls, tennis, croquet, archery and snooker, while guests may choose to be pampered in the beauty salon, have a work-out in the fitness studio or a dip in the heated indoor pool.

In the evening there is a choice of dinner in the main dining room or Hamilton's a la carte restaurant (extra charge applies), before enjoying the all-singing, all-dancing entertainment in the Pavilion Cabaret Theatre.

To book, phone 0870 601 6012 quoting reference code 01CI4, book online at www.warnerbreaks.co.uk (and save an additional £5 per booking). Alternatively, see your local travel agent.

For a copy of the Warner 2004 brochure, phone 0870 601 6011 quoting code 01CIO.

Breaks are subject to promotional availability and the terms and conditions in the 2004 Warner 2nd Edition brochure. Easter, Majorca and Ocean and River Cruises are excluded. Warner reserve the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time. Applicable to new bookings only.
